Why do you need a coach?
Whether you’re an experienced runner looking to shave seconds off your PB, someone who’s been stuck in the injury cycle trying to figure out how to get back to their routine or just new to running and trying to figure out where to start out, it helps to have someone in your corner.
How it works?
Newcastle Performances online coaching provides runners with tailor made training programs drawing from competitive running experience and physiotherapist knowledge to help you train sustainably for your best performance.
Our coaching is delivered through a platform called Final Surge. This lets us analyse your training data and load from wearables, as well as monitoring niggles or injuries allowing us to modify your training before they get out of control.
How do I get started?
If you’re not already a patient with the clinic, an initial assessment is key. Finding out training and injury history as well as goals for the program can be done through video call or in the clinic.
If your initial assessment is done in the clinic we’re also able to do functional and strength testing using Valds NordBord, ForceFrame and ForceDecks. This will give us a better idea of your current running capacity and ways we can improve it through strength training.
